The Store Clerk assists in receiving, keeping custody of all incoming Company Inventory (with
few exceptions) and ensures outgoing materials leave the premises as per laid down procedures.
He/she may be called upon to represent the Company in stock reconciliation matters and update
user departments on stock position.
PRIMARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Receive and verify quantities against delivery documents of all incoming Company
Materials
Reject non-conforming materials and send back to the source
Liaise with user department to inspect all incoming materials
Raise necessary documentation to account for received materials and get necessary
approvals
Raise necessary documentation and seek approval for all products, materials and scrap
exiting the company after verification of quantities
Ensure safe exit of the materials from Company premises/custody
Liaise with Accounts Staff in matters concerning outgoing products for financial
accounting purposes
Issue user departments with materials on approved requisitions
Collect and keep custody of un-used/excess materials
Update and enter inventory records and ensure the same are up-to-date
Ensure re-order levels are adhered to and ensure no-stock outs
Raise purchase requisitions for stock items and seek necessary approvals for restocking
Liaise with customers in stock reconciliation of their cylinders and any other materials
Participate in meetings and advise user departments on all stock/material position matters
Ensure materials are kept in a clean, orderly, hygienic and safe environment
Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time
Qualifications and Requirements
Degree /Diploma in supplies and procurement or related fields
Attest 3 years’ experience in a similar role
Must be 26 years and above
Computer Proficiency is an advantage.
Good communication skills and reporting skills
