For this project, we had the opportunity to oversee and execute cabro paving work for a home walkway and car parking lot. The process involved several crucial steps:
Site Preparation: We began by clearing the area designated for the walkway and parking lot, removing any debris, vegetation, or old materials. The ground was then leveled to ensure a stable foundation for the cabro blocks.
Sub-Base Installation: A compacted layer of gravel was laid down as the sub-base, providing a solid and well-drained foundation. This step is essential to prevent shifting and ensure the longevity of the paved surface.
Laying the Cabros: We carefully selected and arranged the cabro blocks in a pattern that suited both the walkway and parking lot. The blocks were placed with precision to create a seamless, visually appealing surface that complemented the home’s overall design.
Edge Restraints Installation: To keep the cabro blocks in place and maintain the integrity of the layout, we installed edge restraints. These restraints are vital for preventing the blocks from spreading or becoming misaligned over time.
Compacting and Sanding: Once the cabros were laid, we used a compactor to press them into the sub-base, ensuring they were firmly set. A layer of fine sand was then spread over the surface and swept into the joints between the blocks to further stabilize the structure.
Final Inspection and Adjustments: After completing the cabro paving work for walkway and parking lot, we conducted a thorough inspection to ensure the surface was even and properly aligned. Any necessary adjustments were made to achieve a smooth and level finish.
This systematic approach resulted in a durable and attractive walkway and parking lot that enhanced both the functionality and appearance of the home.
