eWak has two approaches on how to provoke positive growth of skills and help in the nurturing & growth of raw potential that needs support. The responsibility is for us all to do, and so you can choose what works for you. There are many people in Africa & Kenya who are educated and gifted but lack support or avenues to grow & develop. It is unfortunate that despite the abundance of talent and great ideas, the absence of proper resources and support often leads to unrealized potential and missed opportunities. eWak initiatives that aim to bridge these gaps and create networks for skill development and value creation are crucial in addressing the issue of joblessness and underutilization of skills. We do not have many research bodies or nurturing facilities and even resources, and needless to say, you will find a lot of jobless young skills. Joblessness in Kenya is on the global headlines, BUT interestingly, you will hear many great ideas with young people, but they just go down the drain due to the above shortcomings. eWak believes in trying to be part of the solution that is needed to help by picking on some of the potential skills with the aim to support, and you, too, can partner with us through our Boost a Skill CSR initiative. Indeed, many skills from learning/training institutions, hard-earned expertise, and trained skills, even say from collection facilities (prisons) struggle or go to waste, But we choose to provoke this conversation and reach out to such as we create our work network and sell values. On the other side, if you are a beginner like the majority, it does not mean that you cannot do something to support others; indeed eWak has got you covered. We have the Boost a Skill Campaign under the Boost a Skill with eWak program, where we all stand a chance to win a Boost. You just need to have an expert account with eWak: Here, then submit a bid for the boost a skill campaign. The entry fee is KSh 100/- and you can try as many chances as you wish by submitting more support donations. At least, even if you do not win, you will support a fellow expert. We feature the exercise updates and progress on our YouTube channel and through text messaging. The Campaign Draw to know the winner of the Boost is done live on our social media channels for transparency. NB: This campaign is seasonal, so you must be sure that we are running one before participating. This is an activity that helps boost the cohesion of the eWak network and also serves as an avenue to share work values, champion productivity, etc.
