1. How Can I register with eWak

All you need is a phone that can access the internet or a computer/laptop/tablet with internet access. Then fill your registration details here as an expert to link up for jobs or as an employer/Sonko to link up with service providers. Once you fill in your details, you will get an OTP (one time password) for verification that will be sent to your email or/and as a text message.

Complete your account by indicating your serving location for Experts and/or job location for Sonkos and the expertise category you have or need respectively. You are now set and you can log in using your chosen password and post jobs or add more portfolio details like projects, skills, abilities and experience for experts.

2. What are the benefits of registering with eWak

For experts:With an active and detailed user account, you will appear in search results ONLINE and be engaged for jobs. More people are currently searching for experts and service providers online, take advantage. You will receive job alerts by email for jobs posted near your location and those that match your expertise/skills. You still be able to see available jobs and bid for consideration. Ensure to have a detailed account with adequate information about yourself, post enough projects as that is used for vetting. The more the content the better the indexing and you can seek our help with more guidance.

For Sonkos/Employers: You are able to quickly get access to experts near your preferred location as per your needed skills. You are able to post a job and get bids for your consideration easily and fast. Also, you are able to rate and review skills and be part of the skills development agenda and make the service delivery industry a better place. You can feature your job and get more bids and even access dedicated support by signing up for a VIP Sonko Account

3. I don't have an email account. Can I still register with eWak?

NO, you will need to create an email account first. You will need the email to get job alerts as an expert among other account operation alerts and as an employer/Sonko you will receive bid alerts via email as well as other account operation alerts. After the registration process, you can still edit your profile and change your email address.

Once you register, you will receive an OTP (one time password) via email &/or text message; you will use it to proceed with your registration. Ensure to complete your registration by filling your expertise category, location details before later adding your other portfolio details or job details for expert & Sonko accounts respectively.

4. Why should I not upload images with my contact details (Email or Phone Number)?

It is important not to display your sensitive data publicly online to avoid the same being accessible to at times ill minded people, scammers and cyber bullying. eWak allows only verified users to access your contact details and so while posting your job or project images, do not use those with your contact details. Even on the content upload areas that get published publicly, avoid indication your contact details to allow only verified users access the same as uploaded in your user profile form.

5. Who is a Sonko(Employer) and who is the Expert, and why do they need registration?

Sonkos are the (employers) persons with jobs or work & they need services done for them. We call them Sonkos because they are the ones who finance those services. Indeed once eWak links you to a Sonko, the deal is between you the service provider and them. Experts are service providers who have skills needed by employers/Sonkos. It’s important for a Sonko to register just in case they need quick services from the platform. One advantage is that they will easily have experts listed by skill & location and be able access the expert’s contact information from their logged in registered & verified profiles.

On the other hand, the expert will have the advantage of being easily located once they register and get verified with eWak since people with jobs will only see the experts who are registered and listed near their job locations and be able to bid for the jobs.

6. What do I need in order to register as a Sonko/Employer or Post a Job?

To be registered as a Sonko, you will need to fill in your name, your phone number, and your email address. While logged in after verification you will add your location & preferred expertise as well as job details.

7. How much do I pay for the registration process?

The registration process is absolutely free for the standard employer/Sonko account and the trial expert account. Beyond that, as an expert and to use more superior services, you will need to pay for a subscription fee in subsequent account renewal as per the subscription packages. This is whether it’s done by you or with the help on one of eWak’s support members. This is to mean that when stuck with the registration process, you can always let us know through the contact information provided below here. For a VIP Sonko account, you will need to pay for a support subscription fee that comes with the many privileges as outlined HERE on package attributes.

8. How often will I get jobs as an expert?

Once you register as an expert and your account is verified, you start getting noticed by sonkos who visit our platform. As soon as we get a job inquiry near your location, you get alerted by email as well as a support person would contact you right away and connect you to the sonko. Also, there are jobs occasionally listed on the platform and you can bid and get assigned if you meet or match the Sonkos/employer’s needs. The Sonko’s details are only visible to you when you are logged in to your account and after a respective job have been assigned to you. Note that this is a long-term investment but you may start getting jobs immediately, but with an active and sustained online work profile you stand the bigger chance of being indexed by search engines like Google and so appear directly on search results. In such cases, you get engaged by the interested persons.

9. Do I need to visit eWak to get jobs?

No you do not, simply peruse through our platform and register to start bidding for jobs and also to stand being engaged. Our platform has provided a privacy policy with guaranteed confidentiality. Your information is very safe with us. In case you have any concerns regarding information privacy, feel free to contact us.

10. Do you supervise work on behalf of employers/Sonkos?

No we do not do that (but we are open to an optional Expert Pooling Service available to some VIP employers/Sonkos); otherwise we ideally offer a platform where service providers and experts can showcase their skills to facilitate potential employers locating them. The engagement is purely between the expert and the employer/Sonko. We do our best to support all parties and encourage our platform users to review our Terms & Conditions for more clarity on this.

12. How long can my subscription stay inactive?

We do our best to keep your account details after your account subscription has expired for as long as we can wait on you to possibly renew it. We communicate and remind you to renew it and before we delete it, we also could alert you but not as a guarantee. Therefore, ensure to renew your subscription as immediately to help you not lose goodwill, search engines indexing and reputation growth.
